3-3

Yesterday we played against University Highschool which is arguably one of the best teams we have played this year and we lost 3-2 making our overall record this year 3-3. We are doing better than varsity but we could be doing better, varsity still has yet to win a game all season. we could easily be 5-1 or 4-2 but we continue to improve each day. Almost beating University is good for us and shows how much we have improved. I think we can do really good this year I was VERY doubtful that we would even be halfway decent but we have turned it around and have a chance at defending out championship this year.

Rain.......

We were supposed to have practice today but its raining alot and i don't think we will but I'm glad I have WAY TOO MUCH homework. I'm glad that i will hopefully be able to go home and relax and do homework instead of practice, if it rains tomorrow then we won't play fairfax which i don't really care because i'm a little overwhelmed with school with grades and the highschool exit exam coming up. The one thing about baseball that sucks is that you can't play in bad weather which is basicllay rain snow and all that stuff. It's ok if we do play tomorrow i'll still be able to get al my work done

Finally

It was getting annoying then finally we won and what a game it was too, we went out threw up a zero and then scored a run the rest of the game went on without any errors and we ended up winning 1-0, it did get scary at the end though because they got a runner on second in the last inning. They never scored but it was scary, our pitcher pitched really good and was on all game. We kinda just coasted the whole game off of the early run we scored. In pros spring training continues and nothing is new, in other baseball news the baseball video game came out yesterday, i just found out today and hopefully i can go get it today. Other than friday we don't have a game

Again

We got smashed on again by San Marino, i went up to bat with a bloody nose dripping all over my gloves and still got a hit. Then I came up again and got on base then stole second.  I also made a really good play at the end of the game where i back-handed the ball and then barely threw the guy out at first. I didn't even think i would get him. Our team did bad, I did what i could but I can only do so much and help so much. Nothing new on the professional side of baseball just spring training is still going on and will continue for a while. I hate losing especially because we were league champs last year. We're gonna need alot this year, i think it will all come together but we'll see.

The Slaughter

Yesterday we played against Santa Monica and lost, well we got slaughtered 1-18 funny part is we scored first then they got 10 runs in the first off of so many errors but i did good so they can't blame me. We have another game today against San Marino, at least today it is a home game although i don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing because we might get slaughtered again but hopefully not maybe today we can really pull it together and win but i don't know we could have beat that team yesterday if we all didn't mess up, i swear there was like 20 errors on routine plays, its was bad. Hopefully for the rest of the year we never play a game that bad and if that happens then i will have no complaints. Our team is ok but there's no way were gonna win the championship again like last year, all i have to do is stick it out until i'm on varsity next year which will be a good year hopefully.

The Pressure is Mounting

Tomorrow is our first game and i'm really nervous because i really don't know if we are ready. I wonder if we will win, varsity lost to them 1-0 and they were really good from what I hear. I really wanna be league campions again but i don't know how possible that will be. Not only that but I still have to worry about my grades. Hopefully we will be fine this year and at least be one of the best teams. At least the Angels are doing good in spring training and playing very well and they should be even better this year than last year. So to wrap it up I have two games in the next two days one tomorrow all the way in Santa Monica and the one on wednesday is a home game witch are always good.

One Week

One week until our season starts and i'm a little nervous we might play saturday which would be the official start, the only thing that sucks about being shortstop is that the whole team pretty much relies on me to be good and if i mess up then the whole team could fail. Eventhough i'm nervous i still can't wait for not only our season to start but for the MLB season to start because this will be a great year for L.A. baseball not only for the Angels but the Dodgers should do well too. As the season closes in I start to worry more about grades almost more than i worry about how well i play. I missed about a week of school and it really hurt my grades and i really only have like 5 weeks to get all my grades up. It's gonna be a challenge but I think I can do it.
